They will be hosting several classes to create ribbon skirts in honor of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous People Awareness day on May 5th. The flyer reads, “The Seven Dancers Coalition (7DC) is hosting Ribbon Skirt Classes at the Tuscarora Nation Building in preparation for the upcoming MMIP: Nation to Nation Skirt Exchange. Details: Supplies will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own materials. – Open discussions will be held throughout the workshops on what to do when a loved one goes missing, with educational materials and handouts available. This is a wonderful opportunity to create a ribbon skirt for the exchange and engage in important conversations surrounding Missing Murdered Indigenous People Awareness Day on May 5th.
