Restoring Ancestral Winds, Inc. is pleased to offer a comprehensive 40-hour Native Victim Advocacy Training designed for individuals who are new to victim advocacy, as well as those seeking to refresh and enhance their knowledge in supporting Native survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Dates: August 4-12, 2025 (Weekdays).
This in-depth training will cover key topic areas, including:
- Victim Advocacy
- Advocacy within the Criminal Justice System & Jurisdiction
- Special Considerations and Trending Topics
- Addressing and Responding to Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault
- Community & Family-Based Healing Approaches
- Self-Care, Vicarious Trauma, and Burnout
Participants who complete the RAWI 40-hour Native Advocacy Training will receive a Certificate of Participation verifying successful completion of the program.
Please be advised that the content covered in this training may include sensitive topics that could be emotionally triggering or distressing. We encourage all participants to prioritize their well-being and practice self-care throughout the training.
Participation is encouraged and appreciated. RAWI will provide time to reflect and smudge at the end of each training day.
