Here is some information about the annual Seven Dancers Coalition (7DC) ribbon skirt exchange in honor of missing and murdered Indigenous people (MMIP). The flyer reads, "Our Nation to Nation Ribbon Skirt Exchange was created to unite our communities in sisterhood to honor our MMIP relatives. It is a celebration of our identity, resilience, and sisterhood. Through the exchange of these ribbon skirts we strengthen the bond between nations, uplift our traditions, and honor the stories carried in each stitch and ribbon.

Tribal Coalition outreach/training staff and similar positions are invited to attend this ATCEV event. The Tribal Coalition Outreach/Training Institute will include sessions to support the capacity of Tribal Coalition’s efforts to provide outreach and training to Tribal communities and domestic/sexual violence member programs. The 2-day interactive institute will provide opportunities to enhance outreach efforts, incorporate best practices, and strengthen community response to domestic/sexual violence. An excerpt from the event page - "The second annual Standing Against Sexual Assault - From Harm to Healing, Honoring Survivors, will be April 29 to May 1, 2026 at Bismarck, ND starting at noon on Wednesday, April 29th and ending at 2 pm on Friday, May 1st. The event will be at the North Dakota Heritage Center - Reid Auditorium, 612 E Boulevard Ave., Bismarck, ND. No limit on registration. The conference is co-sponsored by First Nations Women's Alliance and Native Women's Society of the Great Plains. Save the date for the Restoring Ancestral Winds Shi Doo Shima: A Navajo Tea Party This event a monthly program held on the last Thursday of the month that strengthens the bond between mothers and daughters while promoting health, safety, and empowerment. Each event has a specific theme/focus to learn about resources tailored to the unique needs of Native communities, while honoring traditional values of support and resilience.
