SUMMARY:Yíníshta' Book Club
DESCRIPTION:“Join Restoring Ancestral Winds in our monthly\, Indigenous focused book club! We will be highlighting Indigenous stories and Indigenous authors. This event is free and open to the public. We will be discussing sensitive topics like domestic violence and sexual assault. \nWe will be introducing our new book\, “There\, There” by Tommy Orange for Minority Mental Health Awareness month. \nThis book brings to light the voices of urban Native American. Sometimes being seen as an Urban Native can bring complex feelings and painful histories but also brings a profound amount of knowledge and strength that isn’t always brought to the surface of Native American life. The purpose and hope of the yinishta book club is that throughout the discussion of the book “There\, there”\, a community of connection will be built within those who attend the book club.”
