Chelsa Seciwa is an enrolled member of the Zuni Pueblo and a seasoned Tribal Legal Advocate with a focus on family law\, ICWA\, VAWA rights\, and advocacy for victims of domestic violence\, sexual assault\, and Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP). She completed her legal advocacy training throughout the National Tribal Trial College in partnership with the University of Wisonsin Law School earing both foundational and advanced certifications. Chelsa brings years of experience working directly with tribal communities\, including her previous roles as Project Specialist for AMBER Alert in Indian Country\, where she supported the implementation of the Ashlynne Mike AMBER Alert Act by helping tribes build child protection protocols and community response plans. Originally from Zuni\, NM\, and now based in Tempe\, AZ\, Chelsa continues to advocate for Indigenous rights through private legal practice and ongoing community engagement.”

These events are the product of many talented and knowledgeable Tribal Coalition TA service providers who contribute to the education\, support\, and technical assistance of member Indian service providers and tribes. \n\nSWIWC is hosting a Sexual Harassment Training to Navajo Nation Legislative Branch | October 10 – 11\, 2023 \nTraining | SOUTHWEST INDIGENOUS WOMEN’S COALITION (swiwc.org) \n“Training services include a wide range of topics relating to domestic violence\, sexual assault\, stalking\, sex trafficking\, teen relationship violence (dating violence) and the missing and murdering of our Indigenous relatives. The length of training varies from a minimum of 4 hours to 1-3 days depending on the level of need and are provided with the assistance of partners and/or subject matter experts who serve as SWIWC faculty. \nTrainings are interactive\, culturally competent\, and based on best practices available. They are offered statewide\, regionally or on-site and may involve a fee which includes the expenses related to the time and travel of staff and faculty in developing and providing the training.”
