Hopi-Tewa Rise & Thrive Youth Summit

July 9 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm MST
Event Details

Join the Hopi-Tewa Women’s Coalition to End Abuse for a summit focused on empowering youth ages 13-24. The Hopi-Tewa Rise & Thrive Summit aims to strengthen the coalition’s youth-focused initiative to provide a safe learning environment for youth and young adults to enhance their understanding of violence against native women and create ideas that will empower community action.

Goals:

  • Provide educational and motivational presentations that address violence against women and girls.
  • Empower youth to use their voice through interactive discussions and hands-on activities.
  • For Hopi-Tewa Women’s Coalition to End Abuse to gain insight from attendees on establishing a Hopi-Tewa Youth Coalition Against Violence.
  • Establish partnerships with youth, young adults, partner programs, and community members.

The Hopi-Tewa Women’s Coalition to End Abuse staff and board of directors truly believe that our Hopi & Tewa youth carry the DNA and prayers of our people within them. The future of Hopi needs our youth to stand and take their place in the movement to end violence against women and girls.
